People say that what we’re all seeking is a meaning for life. I don’t think that’s what we’re really seeking. I think what we’re seeking is an experience of being alive. - Joseph Campbell
I started playing music when I was about 5. For a long time I
believed it was my life's purpose (what ever that means) to be a
musician and composer. While that never transpired most of my
life my love of music, and sometimes even my passion for it,
has rarely wavered.
Now most of my attention is on coaching and helping others realize
their freedom but I still hold music to be a powerful force for good
in the world. Music has the most wonderful ability to bypass the
mind and go straight to the heart. In the right hands it can truly
lift one beyond the imaginary burdens to the sense of freedom.
Below you will find some of my offerings to the world of music and art. Click on the name of the song and it should play. I have been having trouble on some people's computers so you can also click on the download button and download it to your machine for playing.
If I Existed
This album is a work in progress and this group of tunes is the first 7 of what will be a 12 or 13 song CD. I have been writing more ambient and solo piano pieces for a long time but never quite got around to recording them.
This album is a work I completed in 2000. It started out as a piano man kind of project. Just me singing accompanied by the piano. Well one thing led to another and before I knew it I had 24 musicians, two full bands (one acoustic one electric), background singers, a Russian string quartet, a horn section and several guest soloists. Kudos to Frank and Claude and a special thanks to New York City for having so many great musicians hanging out in one place.
